Gabbie went to Mount Notre Dame High School, where she was even Donald's All-American Nominee
and a two-time state champ in 2017 and 2019. She then joined the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, where she was named the Academic All-Big 10 Team twice, and in 2020 and 2021, she was leading the teams in Steels 57. Ranking 57th in the country.
Gabbie found her niche in maintaining a high level of intensity on both offense and defense. Being a top player in high school, she has gracefully transitioned into a pivotal role where her actions on the court significantly impact the game. Her love for getting seals, an exciting part of basketball for her, motivates her to fulfill her role effectively. Gabbie's primary objective is to contribute to the team's success by injecting an infectious defensive energy into every game, a quality that makes her an exceptional player.
Gabbie cherishes many memories as a hot guy, with her trip to Spain during her freshman year topping the list. This journey, part of a quadrennial foreign trip, was filled with incredible experiences, from exploring unique locations to savoring delightful cuisine. Beyond that, Gabbie appreciates the abundance of travel opportunities offered to her. Her memorable voyages include a visit to Puerto Rico and a planned, albeit canceled, trip to Cancun. However, Gabbie's most treasured aspect is the quality time spent with her peers during these away trips, which strengthens their camaraderie and makes each journey uniquely enjoyable.
When it comes to celebrating significant accomplishments, Gabbie treasures two distinct settings. On the court, she relishes the immediate camaraderie with her teammates, a shared joy that enhances their triumph. Off the court, however, Gabbie's favorite way to celebrate is with her parents, her most staunch supporters. Conversations with them ignite a sense of euphoria in her, underscoring the deep-seated appreciation and pride they hold for their daughter's achievements.
