In high school, Laura was 1000 point Scorer team captain as a senior and a four-year honor roll student. She then went on to play basketball at the University of North Carolina, where she was a two times Dean List honoree and former Co-president of the University of North Carolina Basketball Team. she's currently coaching a high school basketball team. She runs her own basketball training business called Peak Basketball, and she is a director for PGC basketball camps.

Secondly, she highlights the ability to finish at the rim in diverse ways as another crucial micro-skill. Being a player who can successfully score using both hands, who can effectively play high off the glass, and who is skilled in various areas within that first box to finish, can truly separate good players from great ones.
Laura's current favorite player from the professional basketball leagues is Sabrina Ionescu. She admires Ionescu primarily for her exceptional playmaking skills and consistent scoring ability, traits which Laura fondly recalls from Ionescu's college playing days. Seeing these skills translate seamlessly to the professional level is an aspect that Laura finds particularly impressive about Ionescu, solidifying her as Laura's top pick amongst NBA and WNBA players.
